My oh my. Sorrento is just beautiful!
We set off from Rome in our newly hired BMW, small problem with the car booking though because somebody (wasn't me) lost our main credit card and that has caused a few hassles but nothing we can't workaround.
Arrived in Sorrento about 2pm, booked into a glorious hotel and did some exploring. This place is just magnificent!
Caroline & Joe went into town whilst Chris and I did a bit of sunbathing and a bit of drinking by the hotel pool, which is situated on the roof top with stunning views across the bay with Mount Vesuvius as a backdrop.

DAY 2
So on the Sunday all 4 of us hired a great boat to take us to the Isle Of Capri. Including the skipper there were only 10 of us on board. We stopped at the Blue Grotto on the way to Capri but didn't go in because there were masses of boats lined up before us.
On board there were two guys from Argentina, a young girl from Russia, ann Italian couple and the 4 of us. It was one of the bset days EVER!
Chris & I finished the day with a champage & Caviar dinner!

Your trip to Sorrento is very similar to Peter & mine a very long time ago in the early 70s, I couldn't make it up the mountain but Peter went up and said it was lovely, just going to bed hope you got my e-mail, keep all the info coming xxxx
