Florence

To be honest I don't really know what to say about Florence. It's full of dirty stinky back lanes that lead to some incredible architecture. (Which is not really my cup of tea but I can see why people come here)

About lunchtime (2nd day) we visited the museum and got to see the famous statue of David. Sadly no pictures were allowed.

In the late afternoon of the 2nd day here we took a bus ride up to the highest point in Florence and visited a benedictine monastery and were just in time to hear the gregorian chants.

We drive back to Rome tomorrow (Thursday) and in the evening fly back to London.

Here a bunch of pics.

It was raining the first afternoon we arrived. This is a picture taken right outside our Hotel which is on a large square.

Below are general pictures of Florence. Note the architecture.

This next lot of pictures were taken from the top of Florence from the monastery

Inside the monastery (Sorry it's blurry)
